Business Closure and Layoff Assistance (Rapid Response)

The Yuma Private Industry Council provides a variety of services for job seekers and employers. Services are available to individuals who lose their job through no fault of their own due to a layoff or business closure. The Yuma Private Industry Council and partnering agencies coordinate specialized services to affected employers as soon as they become aware of the projected business closure. A team of specialists is available to the employer to provide information, pre-layoff assistance, and to facilitate access to programs and services offered in the community for workers affected by the closure or layoff. Available services include job development, occupational counseling, job referrals, resume completion assistance, evaluation of educational attainment, assessment of skills and aptitudes, provision of supportive services, job training and job-placement assistance.
