Council is planning a
community job fair at the
Yuma Civic Center on October, 5, 2011 9:00 am 1:00 pm.
Please join us and meet hiring managers and recruiters. Free
booths for participating businesses will be provided. This
job fair will be free for job seekers to attend. To reserve

Unemployment in Arizona is increasing as a result of the
economic downturn and the closures of businesses according
to Cronkite News. YPIC provides open jobs listings, resume
assistance, workshops, job referrals and more to help job
seekers find employment

John Morales Received Exemplary Leadership Award
Congratulations to John
Morales, executive director of YPIC, who was recognized as
one of the 13 recipients of the Profiles of success awards
presented by Valle del Sol, a Phoenix-based social service
agency.
By honoring Morales in the
category of exemplary leadership, Valle del Sol cited his
efforts in workforce development as the director of the Yuma
Private Industry Council, his participation in the Arizona
Education Commitment, a statewide initiative that seeks to
strengthen the education system to bring about economic
prosperity, as well as his past service on the Governor's
P-20 Education Council. He also was recognized for his work
with Valle del Sol in bringing a Latino leadership
development program to Yuma County starting this fall.
