Are you between the ages of 16 and 21?

If so, you might be eligible to take advantage of the wide variety of education and employment services available through the Youth@Work program. Youth@Work's focus is to help you gain the knowledge and experience you need to make smart career choices and to be competitive in today's job market. No matter what stage of your journey, we have services to help you to the next stepping stone on your path to a successful career and a brighter future.

The Youth Department offers Academic Services, Job Training, Work Experience, and Career Planning and Development programs, Academic Enrichment, On-the-Job Training, Leadership Development, Job Development Opportunities, all of which come with the support, guidance, and counseling of our dedicated staff.

Our on-the-job training provides occupational training in an actual job setting. A contract is established to compensate the employer for the extraordinary costs associated with training an individual who may not be as productive as a highly qualified individual. The employer is reimbursed for up to 50% of the wage rate during the training period. The employer agrees to retain the trainee as a regular employee at the end of the successful contract period.
