Your One-Stop Career Center
The Somerton
Career Center is a "satellite" One-Stop Center that provides
outreach services to our Southern Yuma County customers and
employers in their own locale. This Center is truly a
community resource for everyone. It is a vision shared by
all partnering agencies who have come together to share
funding and staffing so more people may be served.
Available Resources
We have several
computer stations that are connected to a wide variety of
job listings with local businesses and agencies for job
searches, and we have Internet access to statewide and
nationwide job search engines.
We also provide several different software programs to help
you create your resume, brush up on office applications, or
discover a career in which you might excel.
We have a wide variety of literature, tapes, and videos on
various career-related topics from management to starting
your own business or from customer service to interviewing
tips and techniques. Our staff can also help you focus on
your job search, critique your resume, or put you through
the paces of a mock interview.

and register for one of our workshops that will make you
more competitive in the job market.

of Our Services Are Free
In order to participate in some of our specialized training
programs, you will need to meet minimum requirements, but
upon acceptance you may be able to train for specialized
jobs at no charge!
